Following the spread of Covid-19 to neighbouring states of Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti, the Kwara State government Wednesday ordered a lockdown of the state by placing a ban on social and economic activities with immediate effect.
The deputy governor, who is also the chairman, technical committee on Covid-19, Mr. Kayode Alabi, disclosed this in Ilorin on Wednesday while addressing newsmen on the activities of its technical committee on Covid-19 in the state. Alabi said that, the government would put security arrangement on ground so as to ensure compliance in the state.
He said that fast food operators in the state should do take-away and must not allow any customer to sit down to eat in their business premises henceforth”.
