The Edo State Government has warned residents against the submission of wrong information, including names, addresses and phone contacts..

The Edo State Government has warned residents against the submission of wrong information, including names, addresses and phone contacts, during the ongoing massive screening and testing exercise across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

Okundia said there was no need for people to resist screening and testing for COVID-19 or give fake information during the exercise as early detection and treatment increases one’s chances of survival. “This is a serious threat to the government’s efforts at curtailing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the state. It further jeopardises the health and safety of the person’s relatives, neighbours and indeed all Edo residents. Currently, one case is yet to be located due to wrong address and phone number; this calls for serious worry as no one can estimate the level of danger this person poses to the health of other residents”.
