[BREAKING] COVID-19: Benue index case discharged

The 58-year-old Nigerian-British had challenged the result of the test declaring her a COVID-19 patient.

Idoko-Okpe, who arrived in Nigeria from the United Kingdom on March 22, protested that a positive COVID-19 test result, which led to her being taken to the Benue State Isolation Centre in Makurdi on March 27 and subsequently to the National Hospital in Abuja, did not belong to her.The PUNCHShe said health officials gave her the result of the latest test as demanded and insisted she was positive for COVID-19.

The index case said she later called the Chief Medical Director, who told her that she was never “a prisoner” and that she was free to go. Idoko-Okpe, who said she would not disclose her current location yet, expressed happiness over her release.“God has been good to me. I went through a lot,” she said.

Was she really covid19 positive

More than 60 days in isolation without treatment yet she's still alive. Nigeria should be true to her people,we're all living in hardship. There's a better way to show your proactive actions..

Which brings one to wonder if truly there's covid-19 in Nigeria or its malaria or the people at the top wants to enlarge their pockets.

Thank God

Now it's time for the woman to sue NCDCgov and Fmohnigeria plus NigeriaGov

Index case? Did she have it at all? What kind of headline is this?

Was she ever a Covid-19 patient? Why report her as INDEX CASE?

Nobody can resist pressure for too long, they must bow Free at last!

Thanks be to God for his Grace upon her. Nigeria Government is just a disgrace. They feel they can play politics in everything. Some of this test results are pranks to our intelligence.

She have been released from covid-419 correctional center Abuja

Freedom at last! Your case helped us to understand the nature of Covid-419 in Nigeria.

If this womans storybis true then we are in reall trouble. Meaning that the pple who wer positive and were treated and later became negetive wer scams too? Can we trully believe anything from this goverment

After all the cry na now you gree release am

This same Susan?

Discharged fire

This is one vindicated falsified cases out of several victims as stated in her video message. This is disheartening while hoping to trust the Benue and Nigeria govt large. Nothing can change her perception of the health care system.

Am happy for her🥰

There seems to be gaps in this story - while in isolation, was she receiving treatment? Her 'eye-guage' opinion in my view may not count but NCDCgov ought to supply test results to patients. We've heard of people that recovered in days while she was there for months sha

Go to court for compensation immediately.

They discharged this woman at last...

Ahhh Finally

Finally and glad she’s better

Congratulations ma

Her test is still positive and they let her go.. Is it to spread it?

If this woman, Susan Idoko could remain in isolation for 54 or 55 days and never experienced any symptom of Covid-19 or even died there in isolation, with all these days in isolation centre it means all NCDC has been telling us is a fallacy.

Index case? She was discharged worse than the state she was captured. Imagine the emotional trauma?

Sue them.

They wanted to use this woman to play politics all in the name of Corona virus. I really like the way she handled it . Imagine someone had covid 19 for forty something days without any medication only to test negative after. Abeg go back to UK o cos this one useless.

Covid 419!!!

Hallelujah

Same system, a university in Nigeria held a graduate result for over 20 years saying there's no record he attended their university until after thorough investigation by the media. Same system, Abacha looted the whole country dry , same system palliatives only get to few people.

Covid 19 woman of the year.

Shame to the government!!!

Covid_19 in Nigeria is a scam! NCDCgov has played a most fraudulent role all this time. We will look back at these days and shrug at how Nigerians have scammed Nigerians for months in the name of fighting a pandemic.

Thank God at last 🙏

Congratulations to her . Government must pay her compensation of at least 10m for for illegal detention !

Finally they released this woman, Naija Covid-19 lamba

What y'all ignorant people failed to understand is that we have over 5000 patients in management/isolation centres across Nigeria. FCT is the 3rd most affected state. Of what use will it favour FCT to hold her down in isolation centre and lavishing money in feeding an ingrate,

how will corona world cup happen without Nigeria participating in it. this is what happened

Legal steps in order!

Hhmmmm, this woman really suffered 🤔

Tourists & NIGERIANS in the diaspora beware of traveling to Nigeria when flights resume, there is uncertainty about your freedom & you may end up losing your jobs & business in your countries of residence. Before traveling, make sure you get enough information about your safety.

Litigation on the way

This govt fail to understand that they can't scam everybody from the very day she was tested she was cimplaining. The Governor owe her an apology for using her good name to collect money for a treatment that never happened.

She said she went through a lot. Kudos ma. You stood your ground and now you have won. CHEERS 🥂 🥂 🥂

Why wont they release her cause she has announced it and everyone has seen it,our government should take things easy and stop all this fake life

Finally!

Congrats At last

She was never a Covid patient.

The conspiracy theories behind this Corona virus story is just too real. A planned job!

Finally
