Kano State Government has said of the 1,146 repatriated Almajirai who were tested for COVID-19, 28 tested positive,According to a statement, the state Commissioner for Local Governments, Murtala Garo, made this known while giving an update on Wednesday.
He said, “We took 419 Almajirai to Katsina State, 524 to Jigawa State, 155 to Kaduna State, 38 to Bauchi State, and 36 to Gombe State. While we received 179 Almajirai from Adamawa State, 220 from Nassarawa State, 96 from Gombe State, 18 from Katsina State, 92 from Kaduna State.“Out of the 1,146 Almajirai who were tested for COVID-19, 28 of them were tested positive. While 311 were identified with other illnesses like fever, malaria, stomach pain among others.
Garo added that 723 repatriated Almajirai have been taken to their parents, noting that they would become automatic students of the new schools designed by the government. Earlier, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said, “Whoever insists on running Almajiri schools must follow the guidelines we put in place for running such. Part of the guidelines is that the school must have a curriculum that must integrate conventional fields of study, like the English Language, Mathematics and Craft training.”

Malaria and Typhoid are two diseases they are having Not Covid 19. If they should test 10k of them, they will return positive. They are weather beaten, exposed to mosquitoes bites and poor drinking water. But for the Gando-dollars, even a tree in Kano will test positive.
