Of the 111 private varsities in Nigeria, Covenant University has come tops, emerging Best Private University for Year 2022 at the Nigeria Prestige Education Awards.

The red carpet event, which held at the weekend, was to honour outstanding primary, secondary and tertiary institutions across the federation. In a statement, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, who was represented by Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. David Imhonopi and others, noted: “It is safe to say that none of the accolades should go to the University’s Faculty, staff or students, but to God.

The VC reiterated: “Covenant University is God-founded, God-funded and God is equally running the University; no wonder it’s the best of the best. To Him alone be all the glory.
