A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt, on Friday, remanded a man in his mid 40s in the correctional center for alleged defilement of his 5-year-old

According to the charges, the accused, Progress Phimia allegedly committed the offence in November in his house at Philip close in Agip Estate, Port Harcourt.The accused was, however, not allowed to take his pleas when the charge was read to him.

The Chief Magistrate thereafter ordered that the case file to be transferred to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.
