Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja on Wednesday declined to grant convicted Nollywood actor, James Olarewaju,

The convict, who was convicted and sentenced to five years imprisonment by the court on July 14 for indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, and attempted sexual assault, had approached the court for a post-conviction bail pending the determination of his appeal.Baba Ijesha’s counsel, Chukwudi Adiukwu, had on August 10, told the judge that the notice for bail pending appeal was filed under section 6 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

Adiukwu also stated that Baba Ijesha was of good conduct before the court during his trial, and was never absent till the judgment.
