The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra to November 14, 2022, pending the determination of the appeal court.In an application filed by his lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome, Kanu had prayed for an order setting aside the order made on March 28, 2019, directing for his arrest and continuation of his trial in absentia.
The presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako dismissed the application for being an abuse of the court process. The IPOB leader is facing trial before Justice Binta Nyako-led court for charges bordering on terrorism.
Why not adjourn it straight to May 29, 2023. I believe the Court may give judgment then or strike out the case. Partisan justice was born in Naija!
