Kano Council Councilors, on Wednesday, suspended the Chairman, Bichi Local Government Area, Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo, for three months.
The leader of the Council, Muhammad Tinki, told newsmen that the LGA Chairman had failed to discharge his constitutional duties in the local government.He added that the suspension followed a unanimous decision taken by the councillors after due deliberations in the meeting they summoned recently. “Now, he will serve the suspension and the committee constituted to investigate the matter will submit its report and recommendations in due course,” he said
When contacted, for his reaction, the telephone of the embattled Council Chairman, Sabo, was not reachable.
