As part of efforts to ensure residents have access to good health facilities, the Executive Chairman, Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Muibi Alade Folawiyo, has renovated, re-equipped and expanded Primary Health Centres in the LCDA.

Addressing journalists to herald the council boss’ 100 days in office, the chairman said his administration was focused on establishing good relationship with the private sector in creating a condusive environment for their businesses to thrive. “Recently, I was at 17, Oke Suna Street to seal a building because the developer was trying to erect an additional building on an existing one. I have asked the developer to present the original building permit to ascertain the number of storey buildings on the permit.

“As we all know, Lagos Island is below the sea level, we embarked on general desilting of drainages and canals to avert flooding in the council. We have continued to sensitise our people on radio to stop dumping of refuse in the drainages, as such flood will be averted.”
