A Senior Advocate of Nigeria , Femi Falana has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a State of Emergency in the country.“Last week, the Federal Government and a few state governments belatedly responded to the coronavirus pandemic,” Falana said in a statement released on Monday.
“In order to stem the dangerous trend, the Federal Government should put necessary legal measures and mechanisms in place without any further delay. “Therefore, President Muhammadu Buhari should, as a matter of urgency, issue a proclamation of a state of emergency in the entire Federation pursuant to section 305 of the Constitution.
Its the only way out now. Oyedepo and others will continue to endanger the lives of the people if serious measures are not taken by the government
....we do not have the facilities to deal with this pandemic. Nigerians need to take it seriously. Pls restrict ur movement. Listen to & obey the relevant authorities. It is not targeting the old & infirmed only. Everyone is a target. God help us all.
In Port Harcourt ppl are still going about their normal activities. The reason why the numbers in Nigeria are low is bcos few people have been tested & many are yet to show symptoms. The Federal Govt needs to declare a state of emergency and restrict movements...
