gathered yesterday in Owerri that despite reports that a known suspect, one Chibuzor Alaneme, was allegedly responsible for the the murder, the police went on rampage in the community, arresting anyone on sight.

However, relatives of those arrested and taken to the Imo State police headquarters in Owerri at 06:15pm on Wednesday, toldOne of them who did not want his name mentioned said: “The police came before 7:00am, Thursday and arrested about 10 people. The thing happened in such a way that everybody started running. We are not happy it is a murder issue that happened but we want the police to do their investigation well and let the person face the law.

It should be recalled that the deceased is said to be a fiancee to Chibuzor and both have dated for years. The root cause of the death of Ulumma has been weaved round the issue of sexuality.called the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Orlando Ikeokwu, to confirm the development, he said: “To cut it short, I am not in town and I have not been briefed of any such thing.”
