In what appears as a subtle disagreement with the Federal government’s planned increment on Value Added Tax, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has warned the administration not to raise taxes in the country.

Rather than increase taxes, Tinubu, who spoke today at his 11th Colloquium at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, asked the government to widen its revenue sources so as to boost its base and do more for Nigerians.The former Lagos State Governor also asked the government to make power readily available to Nigerians under its ‘Next Level’ policy implementation and stop charging Nigerians exorbitantly for electricity not consumed.
The leader of the APC also requested the government to revisited its privatization and commercialization programme to make it more useful to the nation.
