Coalition of Nigerian Canadian Interest Groups , a network of Nigerian , Canadian socio-economic and good governance organisations based in Canada will be hosting the presidential candidate of Labour Party in the last general elections and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi , to a town hall meeting in Toronto , Canada on May 3.
The CONCIG maiden event is part of the group’s efforts at initiating collaboration between Canadian and Nigerian governments towards good governance and building a better world for the future. “As Nigerians residing in Canada, we want to be part of nation building in Canada and in our country of origin in bringing some select Nigerian business and political players to come and have an interaction with political stakeholders in Canada. This, we believe, will go a long way to not only forge some high-level engagements and relationship which Canada and Nigeria needs thereby engendering opening areas of socio-economic benefits between Nigeria and Canada,” he said.
