The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) and the Coalition of National Civil Society Organisations Against Inept Leaders have called for an investigation

They questioned how two companies, allegedly owned by the same individual, emerged as the top two preferred bidders in a slop oil sale. They also demanded a probe of how 487 new workers were allegedly recruited into the moribund Port Harcourt Refinery Company .Specifically, the CNPP wondered how PHRC, which is managed by one Ahmed Dikko, an engineer, allegedly reported zero income in 2020 and yet incurred administrative expenses of N19.215 billion and paid N22.

They disclosed this in a joint statement signed by CNPP Secretary-General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, and Publicity Secretary of the Coalition, Alhaji Ali Abacha. They said they were set to petition the EFCC on what they described as the “manipulative management” of the NNPC, adding: “We demand a though the investigation into the procurement process at NNPC, the activities of the Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, and that of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.”
