The attack, which happened at Nkwo Enugu Ukwu,happened in Oye-Agu Abagana on July 16 when gunmen ambushed and killed two police officers and a civilian.In a statement by Christian Aburime, his spokesman, Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, described the Umunze attack as “wicked and cruel”, adding that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
“We are not going to rest on our oars, including those people that attacked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and the rest. There will be absolutely no hiding place for them,” he said. “Going forward, our actions will show, as these people must surely pay for this heinous and repulsive attack.”
