Former England striker, Peter Crouch, has reacted after Mohamed Salah broke his record during Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Inter Milan on Wednesday.
Liverpool defeated Inter Milan in the first leg of the round of 16 clash at San Siro on Wednesday with goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.Salah’s strike against Inter Milan was his eight straight away goal in the Champions League. And the goal was also special for another reason, as Salah equalled a record set by former Liverpool striker, Crouch.
According to Opta, Salah is only the second player to score against both Serie A giants AC Milan and Inter Milan in the same Champions League season, after Peter Crouch for Tottenham in 2010-11. Reacting to this, Crouch tweeted, “That was the record he wanted. Well done Mo you should be so proud.”
