Champions League: Diego Godin reveals who caused Atletico Madrid’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a stunning hat-trick as Juventus defeated Atletico Madrid 3-0 and qualified for the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Juventus came into the tie trailing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid from the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano. Godin has now blamed Morata and Griezmann for failing to score a goal against the hosts, adding that Diego Simeone’s men were poor in attack.“We defended but conceded goals. We didn’t look like scoring a goal, which was needed for the tie.

“We weren’t surprised by Juve at all. We knew it’d be a difficult match, against tough opponents who would play. “They defended well and attacked well. They were careful and smart, while we couldn’t find the goal we needed.”
