The Senator representing Borno South and chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, Mohammed Ndume, has threatened to challenge the $800 million loan

DAILY POST recalls that President Buhari had sought Senate’s approval for an $800 million loan from World Bank to fund the National Social Safety Network Programme, stating that the loan is aimed at providing succour to the poor upon removal of the petrol subsidy.

The senator said: “I will go to court because it is illegal, unconstitutional and unfair. Let me give you an example: we are two now in the studio and you say you are going to borrow one million and share among the two of us, how are you going to select the two, beside that, if you are giving to the two, and they are the ones to pay, that is okay; but it is all Nigerians that will pay.
