President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday presented the 2022 budget tagged “Budget of Economic Growth and Sustainability” to the joint session of the National Assembly.
The president said, “We designed it to build on the achievements of previous budgets and to deliver on our goals and aspirations as will be reflected in our soon-to-be-launched National Development Plan of 2021 to 2025.” Defending his borrowing plans, the President said the loans taken by his government were expended on capital projects mainly railway projects and other infrastructures.
“Capital releases thus far have been prioritised in favour of critical ongoing infrastructural projects in the power, roads, rail, agriculture, health and education sectors.
Government has to be innovative to invigorate revenue generation to mitigate borrowing. With an executive order, the power sector can halve the subsidy on fuel. A strategic upping the share of made in Nigeria in markets using public procurement can double C.I.T revenue and jobs.
Nothing concerns Buhari o. It's the ministry of finance, the dept of Budget and Planning, and CBN. The baba only reads the written speech and claims the bullshit by these people. Buhari does not have the faintest idea of what he is reading. He only prays that it works out.
