A former Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that rather than fulfill its promise of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government officially threw 133 million Nigerians into deeper poverty. The former lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the 8th Assembly on the platform of the APC said this on Friday on his Twitter page while lamenting the continued economic downturn and rising level of poverty in Nigeria under President Buhari.

Buhari Government Threw 133million Nigerians Into Deeper Poverty After Promising To Lift 100million Out Of Poverty – Shehu SaniThe former lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the 8th Assembly on the platform of the APC said this on Friday on his Twitter page while lamenting the continued economic downturn and rising level of poverty in Nigeria under President Buhari.

Senator Sani said, “They promised to lift one hundred million people out of poverty; now they have officially thrown one hundred and thirty three million people into deeper poverty.” Reiterating his commitment to fulfilling his promise, Buhari’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu in a statement in July 2021 said, “I wish to restate my commitment that getting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty is realisable.

But the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday announced that Nigeria currently had 133million people representing 62.9 percent of Nigeria’s population living in multidimensional poverty.

They virtually did the opposite of thr promises from top to bottom

Buhari is useless to Nigeria, Nigerian and to himself.

kunlebinjo One of the strategies of this government is to continuously plunge the citizens into poverty, and then capitalize on it as an instrument in vote buy and palliative inducement. We must get it right in this country.

With the high rate of poverty and unemployment in the country, a presidential candidate is telling us that he will continue from where Buhari stopped and some sénsless individuals are clamoring for him to win. E b like say suffer no dey tire some persons for this country.

Wasted 8+Million Biafra ( IBOS) to genocide and looted them. To the extent that in some local govts in the North occupied by terrorist( Book Haram, Shites, Herdsmen, Iswap, Myetti, Unknown gunmen etc. They wiped out completely all IBOS there. What a wickedness. God for Biafra.

This afro blogger that is thrown out of politics because of the fact that he failed his district should be hiding in shame. Sani should be contextual in his desperate attempt to be relevant. What was the number in 2015 when Nigeria was earning money unprecedented from oil sales?

This is exactly what Buhari meant when he was shouting from TOP TO BOTTOM.

Parociapropert2 We dey feel d heat no be small...poverty,incessant killings, kidnapping, banditry, unemployment, high cost of living, retired police officers still crying and fighting for their gratuity till date..apc government is evil. wicked and heartless.

Buhari promised next level...no one ask if is up or down..my bad, he said 'from top to bottom' , Nigerians voted for him and he delivered!!

Thank God northerners plenty!

Right

It's because the original Buhari died in London hospital 2017, and fulani cabals took over power and hired a man as an impostor to replace the dead Buhari, that's why there's no stable government to function very well they way government supposed to function.

And his brothers Tinubu and Atiku want to come in.. God will not allow it

Governmental Iberiberism

Oga senator, this is a man that can not take care of only 7 cows

Oga let person hear word. Who was enjoying in Nigeria before? Even when pdp was ruling it was the same story. If u don’t have anything to say rest. If not they forced u out by ur governor u should have be a member apc today

Because You're not among the government that's why you are saying like that.

I knew you as a honest person right from time my God guide you from all evil

MBuhari is a failure on many grounds. It's no news he threw so many into deeper poverty.

APC and Buhari run us street!

They exceeded they target of deceit by 33million. That won't happened again... CAPITAL NO to officialABAT

Is MBuhari not supposed to be arrested by the officialEFCC for campaign fraud?

007Ademide Keep quiet. When you were in senate what did you do?

No one is seeing that Only to attack Peter obi for nothing while whom u should attack and ask why promise and fail . Even put Nigerians into heavy depth. Hmmm
