Stephen Angbulu, Abiodun Nejo and Daud Olatunji, Leke BaiyewuThe President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , on Saturday, condoled with the governments and people of Ogun, Ekiti and Oyo states over the death of former military governor and administrator, Gen. Adetunji Olurin .

The Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, described Olurin’s death as “a great loss to Nigeria, Ogun State, his home state and Ekiti, which he helped stabilise during the six-month emergency rule.” Also commiserating with the family of the deceased, the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, described Olurin’s demise as “sunset for another great man and one of the first sets of leaders that providence gave to Oyo State at its earliest stage.”Similarly, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and a former governor of the state, Gbenga Daniel, described the death of the septuagenarian as shocking.

Reacting to Olurin’s demise, a former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, expressed “deep sorrow” over Olurin’s death, saying, “I have lost a brother and comrade in arms.”
