With a mission to change the narrative in every sphere of Nigeria, an air personnel and political player, Iretidola Ojekhoa, has launched a new television station, TIG TV.

According to the lady, TIG is a new platform targeted at the transformation of Nigeria. “I have been in the media since 2001, and at some point, I realised that it was not enough interviewing people and they go away while the country remained the same way,” she said.

She said, “every sphere of Nigeria needs transformation and we are talking about education, health, media, judiciary, we need reforms. We need new models of how to do things, so, everything that concerns Nigeria, will concern this TV channel. But the channel is not just about news or programmes, so, that people can stay tuned, no; but every second of the TV channel is dedicated to creating a new model of things.

Asked if the situation would not fall victim of National Broadcasting Commission’s code since it will be tackling critical issues, she said, “that is why I’m a political player. Before I even started, I joined politics so that people who may perceive me to be an enemy will know we are doing this together. Transformation of Nigeria is for the politicians, judges, and policemen and for everyone.”
