On May 12, Imoh was beaten and set ablaze by a mob suspected to be commercial motorcyclists near Beer Barn, a leisure facility in the Lekki axis of Lagos.

The remains of David Imoh, a sound engineer who was burnt to death by a mob, have been buried in Lagos.

This was after he had a misunderstanding with a commercial motorcyclist, popularly called Okada rider over N100.His death sparked public outrage in the state and across the country as Nigerians called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of his killers.
