Rivers State Governorship Election petition has thrown out the petition filed by the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Beatrice Itubo challenging the

declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Simnalaye Fubara as the winner of the 2023 governorship election in the State.

Hearing is ongoing at the Tribunal sitting in Abuja on a petition filed by LP and the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Tonye Cole. Beatrice Itubo, who wants the tribunal to declare her winner of the polls, came third in the election.
