Italy’s Lamont Marcell Jacobs claimed Olympic gold in the men’s 100m on Sunday, breaking retired Jamaican star Usain Bolt’s 13-year hold on the blue riband event.

Jacobs, 26, timed a European record of 9.80 seconds, with American Fred Kerley taking silver in 9.84sec in one of the most understated major 100m races in recent times.Details later…

Nigeria deserve no medal.

Congratulations man,it's your season to shine

Anyone with a degree of intelligence would know that the blood of innocent people are crying against this country and it will consequently be very difficult to represent the country and win any medal except by divine interventions.

If this is not the most stupid headline ever then I don't know what else qualifies....the young man had an amazing start and was doing great before the muscle pull. I doubt if you watched any of his race at all, I believe he would have won a medal if he did finish.

Change this headline. Fails to finish is disrespectful to his efforts and the injury he just suffered fighting to win a medal for his country. Show some empathy. Use a better headline. Do better!

Una be fools... See stupid headline

He had no chance... Let's not compensate for his loss...

Shut up 🤫
