FIBA’s decision comes after the deliberations with the Nigeria Basketball Federation to see how the decision could be rescinded for the defending African champions to represent the continent. Mali, who Nigeria beat in the 2021 AfroBasket Women’s Championship final to clinch their fifth title, will now replace the D’Tigress as Africa’s representatives.

Very pathetic... The country has long been rigged for the few, others are to struggle until they find mercy

Oluwa oo! 🤦

Useless govt, dream killers, shame .....

The only sectors allowed to flourish under Buhari's regime are Banditry, boko haram, fulani and and terrorism. Every other sector is banned 😑 😒.

Problematic country

How often will this government keep embarrassing us and rendering the efforts of those lifting the image of this country useless?

Top to abyss president 👏🏿 🙌🏿 Hey God should just save us from the bottomless pit this man is taking the country to..😫😫

We can't win anything as long as APC is leading Nigeria

Whyyyyy. Ifb🙏

This is so terrible for the team

Sport loving Nigerians must vote out APC in 2023. They have destroyed every good thing they met in 2015. We must punish APC for this. Let us mobilise all sport loving Nigerians to archive this.

How can government be so insensitive to the sweat dissipated by these athletes.

The presidency would have allowed the players enjoy what they worked hard for then dish out whatever punishment it wants after the tournament

Top to bottom 🤣🤣

The Reason Why The Locations Where The Fulani Herdsmen (Jihadists) Keep Their abductees Is Always Close To The Military Checkpoints Is Because The Military Will Give Them The Perfect Cover They Need To Operate. Free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

I wouldn't be blaming the FG for this embarrassing outster. The blame is on the Federation. They're the ones who have, for very selfish reasons, factionalised, and fighting themselves over positions. Now, the hard labour of our players have been truncated. Naija's prob is hooge!

This are the reasons my children and grandchildren will never have anything to do with 🇳🇬🇳🇬dead country. No way!!
