The Supreme Court in Abuja on Tuesday dismissed the application for review of its January 14, 2020 judgment which removed Emeka Ihedioha as Imo State Governor, and declared Hope Uzodinma as the valid winner of the last governorship election in the state.
A seven-man panel of the apex court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, in a split ruling of six-to-one, described the application by Ihedioha ruling as an invitation to sit in an appeal over its judgment.
It is not a new thing in Nigeria.
A big statement has just been made Loud & Clear.. 'Never! I repeat Never!! ask the Supreme for judgement review'.

Lawyers are hereby this IMO-Supereme court ruling,told not to waste their time studying for their cases. If the judges like the face of the lawyer or that of his client,he wins his case.(Or any deep pocketer wins..). Alas! The law profession now lies prostrate in the abyss.

Nigerian Justice system has gone Janjaweed. Why waste time studying law&cases when the new precedence now says'Justices can rule at their whims without reference to the relevant laws&constitution'. It means Nigerians no longer need to go to school to be appointed judges&JSC
Cases like this has to die natural death to avoid unending legal battles, imagine if Supreme Court restores Ihedioha?, I swear more than 500 cases wil be filed for reviews b4 de end of dis week, let's just hope the Court improve on her judgement to avoid this historical disgrace

I didn't expect anything to happened after the previous judgment, but it is time the judges in the supreme court put their house together. Their recents judgment have been questionable. Restore the courts integrity and respect that it deserves.
