Only four days ago, Chelsea hijacked the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger, Mykhailo Mudryk, from Premier League table-topping rivals, Arsenal with a €100 million deal.
Arsenal, from last year, had Mudryk on their radar and had gone ahead to submit a €95 million bid last Thursday for the Ukranian winger, which included; €70 million fee and €25 million add ons, when broken down. However, in a turn of events, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, exclusively reported on Saturday night that Chelsea board landed in Poland trying to reach verbal agreement with Shakhtar to hijack the deal from Arsenal with a €100 million offer, that was later completed and sealed in days.
Arsenal, determined not to miss out in the January transfer window to solidify their lead at the top moved swifly to agree the Trossard move to bring more depth to the squad.All rights reserved.
