at Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, lightning has struck eight cows to death at Ikare-Akoko in Akoko North East Local Government Area of the state.
The herdsmen were said to have roasted and started selling them to butchers in Akoko area before they were caught. The Director of Environmental Health Services in Akoko North-East Local Government, Mrs Yemisi Adeniyi and her counterpart from Akoko Northwest, Mr Ojo Anthony, said they had arrested some butchers from taking the cow meat to markets.
