'Face mask and face covering that are branded with a political party logo would not be allowed because it would look like campaigning.'

has warned that political parties’ branded face masks/coverings would not be allowed at polling units on election days.

It had in attendance the opposition PDP’s representative, Abdullahi Zubairu, and the governing APC’s representative, Muhammed Abdulmumin. “We have had a good interaction with the political parties and security agencies, my overall assessment is that we are good to go. “No face masks, no voting, but there is a need for clarification on this. The commission is not insisting on a surgical face mask. But any face covering would do on Election Day.

Mr Yakubu also warned that “Anybody who thinks that he can influence people’s choice through violence is wasting his time.Edo/Ondo Elections
