The region has been rocked by insecurity as a result of the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram, who are seeking to carve out an independent Islamic state. Thousands have died while many more have been displaced by the insurgents.
WFP works in more than 80 countries around the world, including Nigeria, feeding people caught in conflict and disasters. It also said WFP will provide food purchased with these funds “to help people growing crops, raising livestock and rehabilitating assets that may have been damaged during conflict in the region”.
Such donation indirectly increases the life span of Boko Haram. Can't United Nations investigate the spending of monetary aids which Nigeria has received since 2009?
They've been gttng million dollars assistance every time yet they could not address the issues of the weaponry & allowances of this soldiers , imagine a whole governors forum having a disagreement over the releasal of jst a billion dollar for the renewal of weapons of the forces.
This is the reason why boko Haram will never end.
Please UN do not release the money directly to Government of the affected States they will divert it.
I thank the government of Japan for their cares and concern for the indigent people in Nigeria including men, women and children that have suffered in the hand of boko Harriman insurgents in nigeria
Watch how that money will disappear into thin air and the will tell us stories
Like seriously...
