The Chief Imam, University of Ibadan, Professor Abdulrahman Oloyede, has urged the federal government of Nigeria to henceforth, desist from endangering

Oloyede made this disclosure while addressing journalists shortly after he led Muslim faithful in the two Rakah obligatory Eld-Kabir prayer at the University on Tuesday.Our correspondent learnt that Boko Haram insurgency which has spread to other states in the North Eastern part of the country, has led to the death of many innocent citizens, soldiers and other security agents.

He noted that the government should equip the soldiers with necessary equipment so as to stop further killing of the soldiers by the insurgents. “They cannot be more powerful than Nigerian Army. It is not possible for any bandit to overrun the Nigerian Army. They can’t be too powerful.
