The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has asked the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK)

The Indigenous People of Biafra has asked the West African Examination Council and Nnamdi Azikiwe University to reschedule their examination and convocation, respectively, which are both set for May 30 this year.

Powerful addressed the Vice Chancellor, stating, “If you consider yourself a Biafran, you ought to know that May 30 is Biafra Heroes Day. Nevertheless, we are reminding you and the University Management and WAEC board that May 30 of every year is a sacred day set aside to honour Biafra heroes and heroines who paid the ultimate price and sacrifice for the survival of Biafrans.

“By this open letter, IPOB is calling on the Vice Chancellor and the Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and any other people or groups that scheduled any program for May 30, 2024, to postpone their programs. Biafra Heroes Day takes precedence over any program in Biafra land on that day.

Students in federal government-owned tertiary institutions will be the first beneficiaries of the student loan scheme.
