The Benue State Government has appealed to the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba and the Department of State Services, DSS to take steps

in ensuring the missing journalist, reporting for Vanguard newspaper, Mr. Tordue Henry Salem and three students of the state who were kidnapped in Zamfara state recently.

The state government made the appeal on Friday in a statement issued by the state’s Supervising Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Chief Ogbu Dennis Ekpe. The statement reads in part, “The Government appeals to security agencies to do everything possible to uncover the whereabouts of the reporter, but that if by chance the young man is being held by any of them for whatever reason, they should release him or in the alternative, charge him to court if he has committed any crime known to the law.
