years, not being courteous has sent people out of job, has robbed them of success in business and has sent destiny-helpers out of people’s lives. They are spiritual they claim, but they do not know how to speak, but one of the evidences of being spiritual is being courteous.
When self takes the place of God, obeying God in a context of giving becomes impossible. And without giving, receiving is not possible, even under the New Testament, covenant! For the umpteenth time, to become a giver, self must always give way to God, love. In Ruth 2:14-15, the Bible says, “At mealtime Boaz said to her, come over here. Have some bread and dip it in the wine vinegar. When she sat down with the harvesters, he offered her some roasted grain. She ate all she wanted and had some left over. As she got up to glean, Boaz gave orders to his men, let her gather among the sheaves and do not reprimand her.” They were commanded by Boaz to speak kindly and courteously to her. They were not permitted to insult her.
