My mum and upbringing inspired my kind of music. We call my mumyard and she is a teacher so she was a disciplinarian. She ensured I always went to church. The way I was raised by my mum influenced my decisions in picking my genre of music.Honestly I’d love to do comedy. I anchor events so I love it when I make people laugh. Many gospel artistes take their time to listen to artistes such as Kirk Franklin to learn worship songs.
It has not changed much about me because I still pull over on the road to buy corn. I’d say it has changed me positively because it helped me meet more people and get connections.My advice to them is to go all out and follow their dreams. Be deliberate and intentional. Ensure it is what you want to do and be stubborn about it. Challenges will come but keep at it and burn all the candles you can burn. Try to be the best in the room and anywhere you find yourself.
