The New Nigeria People’s Party candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosofe Constituency 2, Babajide Bakare, has urged residents of the state to exercise patience amidst the new naira policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He said, “The size of the informal sector of our economy is estimated to be about 60 per cent and this constitutes mostly the artisans, traders, market men and women, transport workers and the labourers, and these are the group of people majorly bearing the brunt of the currency redesign policy.

“I appeal to all residents of Kosofe Constituency 2 to keep exercising great patience in the face of the frustration and not to take the laws into their hands as experienced in other parts of the country.”All rights reserved.
