Bayelsa State Government has said it is committed to and focused on policies, projects and programmes that will promote prosperity of the people of the state. The state Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Mrs.

She spoke at the auditorium of the Ministry of Women Affairs Secretariat, Yenagoa, yesterday, as she dole out N200,000 cash to each of the beneficiaries drawn from all wards in the eight councils. She said the money was given to business owners to promote business environment to ensure that indigenes of the state take a commanding share of the local economy.
