A statement on Wednesday by the state chairman, Mr Jothan Amos, said the committee would facilitate “the swearing in ceremony of the state governor-elect, Mr David Lyon, and the deputy governor-elect, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.”
The outgoing Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party would hand over to Lyon after completing his two terms of eight years approved by the constitution. According to the statement, a former Chief of Staff to former governor Timipre Sylva, Mr Samuel Ogbuku, is the chairman of the inauguration committee with Cynthia Princewill as vice chairman, while Mr Festus Daumiebi, will serve as secretary.
