The Bauchi State House of Assembly has raised concerns over abandoned constituency projects in the state and consequently adopted a motion calling on the

state government to liaise with the appropriate federal agencies for the commissioning or completion of such projects.According to him, many constituency projects have been idle across the 20 local government areas since 2003. Expressing concern over the development, he said some of the infrastructure was completed and stocked with modern facilities but remained under lock and key.

According to him, the state government should liaise with the relevant authorities at the federal level and the National Assembly with a view to commissioning and handing over all the projects lying idle across the 20 local government areas from 2003 to the relevant government agencies for the benefit of the people of the state.

In his submission, Dr Nasiru Ahmed Ala, representing Madara/Chinade Constituency, said that the motion was timely and important, but opined that the mover of the motion should have collated the projects and attached the list with the motion.
