Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said that the state is not harbouring bandits, especially in the Falgore forest.

He said Kano had one of the best trackers in the country and had served as a waterloo for many kidnap syndicates. Ganduje spoke to State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday after meeting with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari , at the Presidential Villa. The governor’s claim came six months after he alerted the military about the convergence of bandits and insurgents in the state.

The PUNCH had reported on June 3, 2021, that the Kano State governor called for military intervention, saying bandits had taken over its forests and converted them to hideouts.
