Niger State Government has ordered all boarding schools in Tegina, Rafi local Government Areas of the state to temporarily revert to day school.

Speaking on measures being put in place for the safe release of the abductees; the state Deputy Governor, Alh. Ahmed Ketso in Minna said, “in our last update, we disclosed that the government was making efforts to identify the bandits. This is against the backdrop of the demand by bandits of the sum of N110 million to secure the freedom of the 200 children in their custody.

“Government is in touch with some of the parents of the kidnapped children, and they have been assured of the safe return of their wards.”
