The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami , said on Sunday that the Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, did not play any role in the repatriation of the funds

looted by the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha.

Umar quoted the minister as saying, “There was no iota of discussions whatsoever with the Kebbi State governor over the fund, much less of an understanding for settlement.Malami had stated on Saturday that the repatriated fund would be used for the development of critical infrastructure in the country.

The Department of Justice made the claim in court papers filed before the District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington, according to Bloomberg’s reports.
