Sagir who is the current commissioner of Environment in Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s administration, at his declaration on Thursday at the PDP secretariat in Sokoto said, he was in the party secretariat to intimate the state exco that, he want to run for the governorship election come 2023.
He said, “friends, party members and the good people of the state have been mounting pressure on me to join the race, so I have no option than to heed to their calls. “I would focus on Education, Health, Agriculture, Youth and Women empowerment, with a promise to consolidate on state infrastructure and improve on ease to do business in the state.“I am very qualified for the state number one job, in-view of my experience in both private and public sectors.”PDP chairman in the state, Bello Aliyu Goronyo said, Sagir Bafarawa convened the meeting of the party stakeholders to formally inform them of his intention to vie for the office of Governor in 2023.
