As part of efforts to officially kick off medical activities at the newly established Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital , Budo Egba, Kwara State, the Federal Government has approved the appointment of Professor Baba Awoye as the acting Chief Medical Director of the establishment.

The letter reads: “I write to convey the approval of the Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, for your secondment to oversee the affairs of the newly established Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Budo Egba, pending the appointment of a substantive medical director for the hospital. Your appointment takes effect on January 1, 2022.”

Prof. Awoye, until his latest appointment, was of the Department of Behavioural Sciences, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin.
