Shaibu Abubakar-Audu, one of the aspirants that contested in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in Kogi, has withdrawn his lawsuit challenging the outcome of the poll.

According to NAN, Abubakar-Audu announced the decision during a visit to Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi, in Abuja on Tuesday. The aspirant, who is the son of the late Abubakar Audu, a former governor of the state, also declared support for Ahmed Ododo, the winner of the gubernatorial primary.Also, Sanusi Ohiare, another aspirant declared his support for Ododo.

“For us, politics is not a do-or-die affair. Alh. Ododo has won the primary and I will give him my full support,” he said. “My dad was one of the founding fathers of the APC, we won’t do anything to jeopardize the chances of our own party.”
