ABUJA – THE Federal Government on Wednesday raised the alarm that the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its Presidential candidate in the February 23 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar were allegedly making desperate efforts to scuttle President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. The Government also warned PDP and Atiku to quickly retrace their steps or risk an offense of treason against Nigeria government.

He recalled some of the statements credited to Alhaji Atiku before the 2019 general elections where he allegedly said that unless Nigerians voted out the APC administration, killings by herdsmen will continue and ultimately spark a series of ethno-religious crises that will be irreversible. “Either by themselves or via their proxies, the PDP and its presidential candidate are doing everything possible to sabotage the Buhari Administration, generally overheat the polity and make Nigeria seemingly ungovernable, especially through their public utterances and their poorly-thought-out press releases before and after the 2019 general elections.
