At Eunisell party, Abia Warriors promise to succeed on all fronts

Players and officials of Nigerian Premier Football League side, Abia Warriors of Umuahia, have pledged to work hard for success in both the ongoing 2023/24 NPFL season and the President Federation Cup.

Speaking at the event, Eunisell Group Managing Director, Chika Ikenga, said the occasion was aimed at gingering the team to better performance in the season. He said: “Since we started this sponsorship this year, we’ve not had the opportunity to meet with everybody. So, tonight presents a big opportunity to do that. And to tell the boys well done and to keep encouraging them.”

Ikenga encouraged other corporate bodies to sponsor football clubs in Nigeria, saying, “if you’re sponsoring a club, it is a two way thing. The sponsor benefits, then the person or the club benefits. It helps to build a corporate image so, you can’t lose by sponsoring.” Players and officials of Nigerian Premier Football League side, Abia Warriors of Umuahia, have pledged to work hard for success in both the ongoing 2023/24 NPFL season and the President Federation Cup.

Manchester City's Phil Foden was Friday named Footballer of the Year by the English Football Writers' Association, with the club's Khadija Shaw scooping the women's award.
