The Nigeria Labour Congress on Thursday said it would hold a one-day national protest to force the Federal Government to meet the demands of university-based unions.

The NLC noted that reports from a meeting of its Central Working Committee showed a lack of progress in the negotiations with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities and National Association of Academic Technologists.

Wabba directed all the affiliate unions of the NLC to issue directives on the planned one-day national protest from next week.reports that academic and non-academic activities in tertiary institutions in Nigeria have been grounded due to strike actions by the various institution-based unions over the alleged failure of the federal government to meet its demands.

Toothless NLC

Be rest assured, if ASUU is dissolved today, education system will not last for decade, even if it does, poor people can no longer afford it as it will be very expensive and that is what Govt want. So we have to wake up and do the necessary ! Nigeria Youths Wake Up.

Noise

Useless people. If they are really serious they are the ones that supposed to mobilize all workers to support the labour party.

Getat.... Bastards

What do expect, when a man from katsina state is the NLC chairman, the man is from country home of president muhammad buhari. So is just a toothless dogs barking at the wrong time always

Leaders are busy planning 2023 elections. They don’t care about schools now. They have their children in schools abroad. Selfish

This is not the first time they said they will mobilize national protest regarding ASUU strike. They said this two months ago and nothing happen. NLC knows how to bark but they can't bite. They don't know how to match their words with actions

NLC Wabara, you woke up too late. Joining ASUU now is too little and too late.

Dem go kill una oooooooo

Empty boastful threats! NLC has lost its bite; you only bark to be settled.

Who ever believe on strike to be called by WABBA led NLC is deceiving himself or herself. I have never seen Wabba call a successful strike. He will definitely call it off in the last minute without achieving any objective of d strike. IS ONE DAY STRIKE A STRIKE OR PUBLIC HOLIDAY?
